Safety is the first filter on every move.

Every driver on an AmeriSafe move operates under FMCSA Hours of Service regulations: maximum 11 hours of driving in a 14-hour duty period, with required rest between hauls. That is federal law, and it is also the first thing we look at in a carrier's compliance record. We do not book moves on schedules that require breaking it. Period.

Every driver carries a valid commercial driver's license appropriate for the truck class, a requirement of the federal authority every carrier on an AmeriSafe move must hold and keep current.

Before any carrier gets an AmeriSafe move, we review its FMCSA safety rating and inspection history on the public record. Carriers with unresolved out-of-service findings or safety problems do not move AmeriSafe customers, no exceptions for peak season, no exceptions for price.

And because vetting is ongoing, a carrier that develops problems comes off our board. Safety is not a one-time checkbox; it is a standing requirement for carrying our customers.

Crews on AmeriSafe moves work to defined handling standards, proper lifting technique, load securement, and floor and doorway protection in your home. Specialty shipments add category-specific protocols: skids and climate protection for pianos, museum-grade packing for art and antiques.

When crews are not exhausted or rushed, they make fewer mistakes, with equipment, with your belongings, and with your home. That is why the schedule and the safety record get checked before the price does.
