How does vault storage work compared to a self-storage unit?

Your crew loads your home directly into padded wood vaults, which are sealed at intake, palletized, shrink-wrapped, and never mixed with other customers' shipments. Every item is tagged and photographed into an inventory before storage, so you skip the rental truck, the second loading crew, and the gate-access lines entirely.

How much notice do I need to give to get my items out of storage?

Redelivery requires 5+ business days notice. Once scheduled, AmeriSafe handles the truck, the crew, and the placement at your new address, the same team model that picked your shipment up.

Are my items insured while they're in storage?

Stored items remain eligible for valuation coverage and third-party storage insurance. Released protection at 60 cents per pound per item is included free, and full-value protection is available; claims can be filed within the federal 9-month window.

How is AmeriSafe storage priced?

You pay only for the vault space your shipment actually uses, rather than a fixed unit size. If storage is part of a move, AmeriSafe quotes the entire pickup-storage-redelivery cycle as a single written estimate, locked in writing up front, which is significantly cheaper than booking a move and storage separately.
