How it works

Five steps. One coordinator. No surprises.

Transparent milestones from survey to interstate delivery, your price in writing, a named carrier on your paperwork, and one coordinator who answers for all of it.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your move

Start online or by phone. Your coordinator captures the route, dates, and anything special upfront — stairs, elevators, HOA rules, a piano, artwork.

  2. Step 2

    Complete a quick video inventory

Prefer a video call? Complete a quick virtual inventory by walking us through your home, or simply send us an itemized list. We'll use either option to accurately estimate the truck space your move requires.

  3. Step 3

    Choose specialty services together

Packing, storage, specialty-item handling, and other moving services can be included in your plan upfront, so you know what services are part of your move before moving day.

  4. Step 4

    Review everything in writing

Your written estimate — binding on qualifying moves — FMCSA-required valuation disclosures, and the carrier hauling your goods, AmeriSafe or a vetted carrier, named on your paperwork before the truck rolls.

  5. Step 5

    Move day coordinated end-to-end

Dispatch, loaders, drivers, and delivery crews stay tethered through your coordinator all the way to destination delivery.

How long does interstate moving take?

Ask the actual carrier for the pickup and delivery windows for your inventory, route and dates. Confirm whether the dates are estimated or guaranteed and how changes will be communicated.

How is moving cost calculated?

The shipment, addresses, access, dates and services affect the estimate. Ask the carrier to identify the pricing basis, included work, exclusions and any additional-charge rules in writing.

How do I choose a moving company?

Check the actual carrier and any broker through FMCSA, compare written estimates for the same inventory, and review payment, valuation and claims terms. Confirm state requirements for a move within one state.

How do I prepare my home for movers?

Make an inventory, identify unusual or valuable items, and confirm packing responsibilities. Give the mover both buildings’ access instructions, elevator arrangements and loading restrictions before the estimate is finalized.

How are valuables protected?

For interstate household-goods shipments, Full Value Protection applies unless you select Released Value in writing. Released Value limits carrier liability to $0.60 per pound per article. Ask about high-value declarations, deductibles, exclusions and claims instructions. Valuation is different from separate insurance.

What can't be moved?

Request the carrier’s restricted-items list before packing. Identify anything hazardous, perishable, living or otherwise unusual and confirm whether the carrier accepts it and what preparation is required.

Are discounts available?

Ask for the current written offer and eligibility terms for your move. Confirm the qualifying dates, shipment, services and final price rather than assuming a discount or savings amount.

What paperwork should I review?

Ask for the written estimate, shipping documents, inventory, valuation selection and applicable terms. Confirm the actual carrier, agreed scope, payment arrangements, dates and changes before signing.
